I'm Amy Capel, and I'm honored to lead the Ivybrook Academy Summerville community each day.
What drew me to this work, and keeps me here, is the same thing that draws so many families to Summerville right now: the chance to be part of something still taking shape. This is a community full of families who moved here deliberately, who are choosing their children's schools carefully, and who want more than a preschool that fills the hours.
What I've learned from the research, and from watching children here every day, is that the quality of what happens in the room matters far more than what time your child arrives. Montessori knew it. Reggio always built around it. It's the reason our afternoon is designed with the same intention as our morning, not as an extension, not as childcare, but as its own purposeful experience.
