Owner's Story

Ivybrook Academy Owner - Seven Hills

Dani & Bruce Humphries-Owners

The Humphries have a passion for customer service and community involvement. The philosophy behind having a servant’s heart has guided Bruce throughout his career. After 28 years with Publix, Bruce retired and now serves as the Facilities Director for NorthStar Church. In his spare time, Bruce is an active member of the community—serving on the Cobb Schools Foundation Board, and leading several small groups within the church. His compassion for people has been the driving force behind his success and service.

Dani has been called “the baby whisperer” since the age of 10. She began working as a mother’s helper to a family of four girls, spending her summers as a live-in nanny until the age of 17. She holds degrees in Health Promotion and Education from the University of Georgia, and a bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from the Medical College of Georgia. This foundation has served her well in general practice, where she cares for both children and adults. Upon relocating to Cobb County in 2018, Dani has worked part-time in several dental offices, allowing her the flexibility to balance her professional career with her most important role as “Mom” to Kason and Easton. She has served on the PTSA for her children’s schools, taken on volunteer roles with the Allatoona Dugout Club, and continues to serve within the community and their church.

The Humphries look forward to “Family Fun Fridays” and “Fall Football Saturdays.” They enjoy grilling on the back porch, listening to music around the fireplace, and making memories with family and friends.

The Humphries believe that it takes a village to raise a child. As owners, they are honored to bring the “Ivybrook way” of learning to the Seven Hills community and to help foster meaningful, lasting connections among families within their school community.
