Brittnie Holt, NAC
Principal
Brittnie Holt is the Principal of Ivybrook Academy Riverton and brings more than 18 years of experience in childcare and early childhood education. She has worked with children from infancy through school age and has held a variety of roles, from classroom assistant to program leader. Brittnie holds the National Administrator Credential (NAC), a nationally recognized certification in early childhood program administration and leadership. Her passion for early learning is rooted in creating nurturing, engaging environments where children can grow, explore, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Brittnie also has experience as a special education educator. This background has strengthened her belief that every child benefits from a supportive, thoughtfully prepared environment that encourages independence, curiosity, and confidence. She is currently completing her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and plans to continue her education by pursuing a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
Originally from San Jose, California, Brittnie moved to Utah with her family in 2019. She is a proud mother of three: Lailah (12), Brody (10), and Madalynn “Madi” (3). As both an educator and a parent, she understands how important it is to find a preschool you truly trust. When her older children were young, they attended the school where she worked so she could keep them close in a place she believed in. When it came time to find the right preschool for her youngest, she faced the same challenge many families do until she discovered Ivybrook Academy.
Brittnie was immediately drawn to Ivybrook’s thoughtful blend of Reggio Emilia and Montessori philosophies. She believes this balanced, child-centered approach allows children to learn at their own pace while building independence, creativity, and confidence. Her experience inspired her not only to enroll her daughter but also to help bring this unique preschool experience to families in the Utah community.
As Principal, Brittnie is committed to creating a warm, welcoming, and collaborative environment where families feel connected and supported. She is passionate about helping each child build a strong foundation during these important early years and ensuring families feel confident in their preschool choice.
Outside of school, Brittnie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring new restaurants, shops, concerts, and community events. As a dedicated dance mom, she spends many weekends supporting her daughters at competitions. She is also excited to be getting married this November to her fiancé, Chase, her best friend and biggest supporter. Life keeps her busy, and she truly wouldn’t have it any other way.
Owner's Story
Welcome to Ivybrook Academy Riverton!
As the owner of Ivybrook Academy Riverton, my focus is on supporting our educators, serving our families, and building a strong community where children can thrive.
Originally from Japan, I was raised in a culture that places a high value on education, respect, and lifelong learning. My appreciation for early childhood education was inspired by my mother, who worked in the field and had a remarkable ability to build meaningful relationships with families and colleagues. Watching her work taught me the importance of trust, collaboration, and community.
My background in customer service and hospitality, including my experience as a flight attendant, reinforced those same values. Today, I am committed to creating an environment where educators feel supported, families feel connected, and every child has the opportunity to grow and succeed.
It is an honor to serve the Riverton community and partner with families throughout their educational journey.
