Owner's Story

We’re Brandt and Amber Stravlo, proud owners of Ivybrook Academy here in Lubbock, Texas. As Lubbock natives, raising our family in this community we love means everything to us. Together, we’re blending entrepreneurial spirit and educational expertise to bring a safe, nurturing, and curiosity-driven preschool experience to local families.

Brandt is a local entrepreneur with several businesses in the area, passionate about building community through innovation and service. Amber brings over 16 years of experience in education, including roles as a classroom teacher, Dyslexia Therapist, Certified Academic Language Therapist, and Special Education certified educator. Her dedication to the growth and development of children has been the foundation of her career and is now the heart of our preschool mission.

We are parents to three wonderful children—Beau, Autumn, and Baylor—and as a family, we love mountain biking, spending time outdoors, cooking, dancing in the kitchen, and cheering on our favorite sports teams. Ivybrook holds a special place in our hearts, as we’ve seen firsthand the difference it has made in our own children’s lives. Watching our daughter and now our son Baylor blossom here has deepened our belief in the power of a student-centered, innovative learning environment.
