When I first walked through the doors of Ivybrook Academy Franklin in 2020, it wasn’t just as a teacher — it was as a mom.

That very first school year, I had the privilege of serving as the Pre-K teacher while my own son was enrolled in our 3s program. Getting to watch him learn, explore, and grow in a place I deeply believed in was one of the sweetest seasons of my life. I saw firsthand the magic that happens here. I saw confidence that blooms, the curiosity that’s nurtured, and the joy that fills our classrooms.

The following year, I stepped into an administrative role, and today I serve as the Director of Curriculum and Operations for our Franklin campus. While my role has grown, my heart has remained the same. I am still in awe of the sense of wonder our children carry. I still tear up watching a shy child find their voice, a hesitant learner discover confidence, or a classroom light up during a moment of discovery.

Ivybrook is close to my heart because it’s more than a school. It’s a community built on intention, compassion, and a deep respect for childhood. We believe children are capable, creative, and full of potential. Every day, I get to support teachers who honor that belief and families who trust us with their most precious gifts.
