We’re Sapna and Surya Kant Misra, and in 2025, we had the incredible privilege of becoming the proud owners of Ivybrook Academy of Franklin. This journey is more than a professional milestone for us—it’s a heartfelt extension of who we are as parents, educators, and members of this beautiful community.
As parents to two amazing boys—one stepping into college and the other beginning high school—we know firsthand the joys and the challenges that come with raising children. It’s a path filled with questions, milestones, and moments that shape not only our children’s futures, but our own lives as well. That’s why our mission is deeply personal: to stand beside other families as they navigate the early years of raising young children.
For over eight years, we’ve devoted our time and energy to teaching and mentoring young learners, both here in our local community and abroad. We've had the honor of helping underprivileged children access education, and each experience has only deepened our belief in the power of early learning. Our love for education is rooted in these experiences, and it was that same love that led us to Ivybrook Academy—a place that felt like home from the very first moment.
Joining the Ivybrook Academy family in Franklin has been one of the most joyful and meaningful chapters in our lives. We are beyond grateful to the incredible families, educators, and founders who built such a strong and nurturing foundation here. As we step into our fifth school year, our promise is simple: to honor this legacy and help it flourish.

Its thoughtful blend of Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies spoke directly to our hearts—it’s the kind of environment we had always hoped for our own children.
